Our definition of Culture

We all use buzzwords and phrases, but my experience as a consultant told me that internal company definitions and understandings may be very inconsistent.

So here is the Alignifi take on Company Culture and its what we base our assessments around:

Alignifi Definition of Company Culture

Company culture is the collective mindset, behaviors, and operational norms that shape how an organization functions, makes decisions, and adapts to change. It is not just a set of values on a wall—it is the lived experience of employees, the alignment (or misalignment) of leadership and teams, and the driving force behind execution and performance.

At Alignifi, we define company culture as:

🔹 A Measurable Asset: Culture is not intangible—it can be assessed, tracked, and optimized to improve alignment, decision-making, and performance outcomes.
🔹 The Engine of Operational Excellence: A company’s ability to implement strategy, navigate transformation, and achieve sustained success is directly tied to its culture. It determines whether changes are embraced, resisted, or ignored.
🔹 A Product of Alignment: Strong cultures are built on shared understanding—when leadership, teams, and strategic goals are in sync, the organization moves forward with clarity and efficiency.
🔹 A Reflection of Organizational Health: Culture is revealed in how challenges are handled, how teams engage with one another, and whether people act as active contributors or passive passengers. It influences resilience, adaptability, and overall business impact.

Through Alignifi’s structured assessments, we help businesses quantify their current culture, identify areas of misalignment, and provide actionable roadmaps to cultivate a business environment that fuels transformation, innovation, and long-term success.

The Argument for a new consulting model using digital and AI tools.

4 months ago More thoughts on the benefits of a new consulting model using our digital and AI tools. Our purpose built solution, FitBiz360 transforms the traditional consulting model by significantly reducing the discovery phase while increasing its accuracy. Here's why that's powerful: Quantifiable Discovery We use Likert Scale questionnaires (these are totally customizable, or you can create new ones very quickly, with no coding required) This provides standardized, quantitative data rather than subjective observations This provides consultants with defensible metrics to back their recommendations Eliminates potential bias in data gathering that can occur with traditional interviews Time & Cost Efficiency Traditional discovery often takes weeks of interviews and manual analysis, and apart from being time consuming, this can also be very frustrating as interviews are cancelled and re-arranged. However automating data collection, analysis and reporting, consultants can: *...

Why do 70% of change initiatives fail?

3 months ago Reposting this as a starter for a series of thoughts and articles to follow. 🤔 Why do 70% of change initiatives fail? Because we're still treating humans like machines. Traditional change management asks: "How do we get people to comply?" Human-centered change asks: "How do we help people thrive?" The first treats emotions as obstacles to overcome. The second sees emotions as valuable data that guide the way. The first pushes through resistance. The second listens to understand what that resistance is trying to teach us. Real transformation doesn't happen through perfect PowerPoints or precise project plans. It happens through understanding fears, nurturing aspirations, and honoring individual journeys. It's time to stop managing change and start enabling it.
